ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith will host SportsCenter NBA Pregame Show on Wednesdays

ESPN announced on Monday Stephen A. Smith will host a 30-minute pregame telecast of SportsCenter on Wednesday’s ahead of ESPN NBA games.

The show will air throughout the regular season and during the NBA Playoffs.

“This is what it’s all about,” said Smith. “This is what I have been waiting for. Stephen A. hosting in prime time, serving NBA fans with the information and passion that you’ve come to know from me.”

Smith will have Magic Johnson and Michael Wilbon for the debut episode. Adrian Wojnarowski will also contribute reports and commentary to the show. The first show will include special content on 76ers star Ben Simmons leading up to ESPN’s first NBA game of the regular season: the Boston Celtics vs. the Philadelphia 76ers.

The network also provided the rest of Smith’s SportsCenter schedule until Nov. 20, with a broadcast in Boston on Oct. 30 for Boston Celtics vs. Milwaukee Bucks, along with two broadcasts in Houston and one in New York.
